9.21.23 Bedford Speedway Results

The 2023 edition of Bedford Speedway fallfest, designated the DJ Troutman memorial, opened Thursday with two feature events and open practice for anyone else who desired. Josh Corbin capped off his excellent season in the PT Cruiser with a rousing win in the 4 Cylinder feature while Drake Troutman claimed the Crate EMod win, while almost 30 drivers in every other Bedford division took part in practice sessions.

2023 point titlist Josh Corbin put a period on his great season with the rousing 4 Cylinder win. He started on the front row in the pill draw event and took the lead at the start. He led the distance but had to hang on as Wayne Brenize and Shawn Smith arrived from deep in the pack as the event moved past halfway.

Brenize and Smith arrived on Corbin’s bumper after about halfway and battled between themselves and Corbin for the lead over the last 8 all green flag laps. Although seriously challenged, Corbin held on for the win as Smith and Brenize took the next two spots. Colin Welsh and James Fairall completed the top five. Javid Fairall, Brad Marker and Brenize won the heats.

Drake Troutman took the Crate EMod lead on lap two and cruised for the distance over the small field for the win. Bryce Broadwater, Jason Kipp and Colton Wilhelm trailed. Troutman and Wyatt Marker took heat race wins.

An assortment of Semi Lates, Pure Stocks Late Models and a 305 sprint car took advantage of the open practice sessions during the event as well as quite a few EMods in preparation for their events scheduled for Friday and Saturday portions of the weekend programs.,
