8.5.17 Carolina Clash Late Models Results

Gaffney, South Carolina (8/5/17) – Ross Bailes of Clover, South Carolina took the lead from Johnny Pursley on lap 19 of 40 at Cherokee Speedway Saturday to take home the win in the “Stick Elliott Memorial” Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event worth $5,000. The victory was Bailes first win of the season with the Carolina Clash along with his ninth career win with the Series. Michael Brown, Johnny Pursley, Chris Ferguson, and Dennis Franklin rounded out the top five finishers. Johnny Pursley set fast time on qualifying with a time of 15.096 seconds. Consolation race winners included Michael Brown and Casey Roberts.
